      to plug the phone into an HDMI screen, connect up a keyboard and mouse, and have lightweight desktop experience on the go
      like Maru OS

            Not all devices support Slimport or MHL. If you're asking about Nexus 5, yes, it works with a Slimport adapter, and you'll need to use Bluetooth for mouse/keyboard.

                @stan I got it working with a steam controller, therefore I don't think that the bluetooth device selection is more limited than on other systems.

                Devices: BQ e4.5, Fairphone 2, Fairphone 3, Lenovo X605, Pinephone, Moto Z2 Force

                    Also, the same UI will be displayed on the external screen. It's not like on MaruOS where the phone remains Android and the external display will be a lightweight linux desktop. In UT, the UI you see on your phone will just adjust a bit to fit more of a desktop experience.
