How to remove incompatible app (Recorder)

My phone (Nexus 4, RC channel -- downgraded from development) still has the original (DawnDiY) Recorder app installed, which according to OpenStore is incompatible with my system.
However when I tap the "Remove" button or the bin icon, it pops up a dialogue, and then if I select "remove" it just goes back to showing the app page with the "Remove" option and does nothing.
Is it possible to remove the app some other way (e.g. file manager and delete all the relevant files)?
