By having an offline map server, would it be possible for unav to use them to navigate offline?

          Possible : yes
Without heavy modification : I doubt it.

If I'm correct, the tiles are served by different means.
Basically the maps are cut in tiles that you can download and display according to the geographic coordinates displayed and the zoom level.
There are several different ways to serve those tiles.

I don't know the specifics but I think uNav uses a different server than OSM scout.
So in for it to use OSM scout server a specific client has to be added to uNav. Plus obviously a way to switch from offline maps to online...

Maybe someone with better knowledge can give a more detailed answer

uNav has an offline navigation already (but counts on you to have the tiles cached). There's a trick, search the place you want to go and move the map to the areas you want to cache). Then, setting > mode offline.

You need to look for directions with the device online.
