I would like to be counted as someone who is interested in this.

I have lost my OnePlus One device but have a old OnePlus2 that isn't being used for anything, so I'm interested in getting Ubuntu Touch running on it, but it is not supported by the installer:
info: Welcome to the UBports Installer version 0.4.18-beta! info: device detected: OnePlus2 warn: The device OnePlus2 is not supported! warn: setting udev rules failed info: Good bye!
Can anyone point to some instructions for manually installing on this device?
-
Apparently this is now supported by the installer?
See: https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/ -
I think that the tick on that page is a mistake, it isn't supported by the UBports Installer 0.4.18-beta as the output I pasted above shows and there is no
oneplus2.json
file in the installer-configs directory. -
Installed it today and I am writing this post on this device
I am ready to test things as well, but I am not as tech-savvy as others on this forum, so maybe I would need some instructions or so.

@xoomerq hey I installed Ubuntu touch on my oneplus 2 today (30min back of writing this). On the phone its stuck at the logo from 20mins. Can you help please?
-
@umesh same problem with mine, if you figure the problem let me know please

@elessar-0 yeah, also had this first time. All I did was switching from "stable" to "develop" (or daily?) in Ubports-installer
Also I used the 0.7.4 version of the installer, 0.8.x did not work.
If it stuck on boot-screen, you have to enter bootloader (turn off > vol- + power > android options > advanced > reboot to bootloader). That way your pc should recognise it as oneplus again and you can reinstall the system.
And yeah, lot of things do not work.
