I am (finally) going to go the password manager route for my online accounts. I already have multi factor authentication wherever possible, but this is the next (some would argue it should have been the first) step.

I was wondering what the experience of the community is with the password managers available on UTouch in practice. I have seen there are a few web apps in the Open Store. How well do they work? What are persistent niggles, if any?

I am looking to centralize my password management on one of the available options. It would have to be a cross platform, cross OS solution. Anyone has any suggestions?

          @arubislander
Still not yet at this point myself 😉

But I guess my first lead would be Keepass.
It's very portable and could be centralized by syncing the database or I think it could be served...

I'm using Bitwarden. There is a webapp... but the website itself ¿doesn't adapt? to mobile... I'm doing it the hardway

@CiberSheep I'm also using it and it really hard on ut web app (from store) but works well in morph 😉

If I find time (when my to-do list will be empty) I want to do a native app. I think a systray app in top of ubtouch should be a good idea for this kind of app... With a slide you can access password, search and copy without window switch.
Because I love bitwarden on desktop but on phone (even in Android with official app) it is a crappy ux.

                Oh, that's nice. Thanks

                That's extra-nice

I think a systray app in top of ubtouch

That's not 🙂 Indicators bar are not thought to be filled with app icons / services / others.

UTPass, which uses (gnu/linux) pass under the hood. Works as a client (cannot add pwds on UT) but works well and is compatible with pass, which is awesome.

                    Thanks for your feedback!

Bitwarden looks promising. It is Open Source and able to be self hosted. I think that will be my first target of investigation.

                      Hi, what about Firefox Lockwise?
I'm currently using it with Firefox desktop on Libertine, but UI isn't very easy to use

@Capsia Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately Firefox does not work consistently well across my range of UTouch devices. That would effectively lock me out of using certain sites on those devices where it doesn't work.
