Usb connection lost with eMMC/SD booting - still available in 'file transfre mode'!

A July Pinephone update/upgrade caused the issue. What process might make usb access available in 'file transfer mode' but not after a standard boot?

Network Manager reports "WIRED-PROPERTIES.CARRIER: off", anyone know how to set it on?

Hi, I don't know what you're trying to do.What do you call "file transfer mode" ?
If you want to connect your Pinephone using the USB cable that's not possible with the Pinephone branveheart and UBports CE due to a hardware issue.
I'm not sure this feature already exist at all.If you want to transfer files to your Pinephone, you can use SSH, "bluetooth file transfer" (not sure it's working on the Pinephone though), you can install a ftp server too (app in the open store)...

@AppLee Yes, sorry. I should have specified SSH access over usb into the Pinephone. I had this facility until a July update.

@C0n57an71n I am still able to access my Pinephone via 'telnet 172.16.42.1' on usb. A booted system (eMMC or SD) won't start the usb interface for SSH access.
