Is there a good office program for the LG Nexus 5 to use in convergence mode?

Hi, the quick answer is no.

But you can install and utilize LibreOffice within Libertine.
I have to warn you though that the Nexus5 is probably not powerful enough for a good experience.

True convergence is when an app adapts the UI and UX to desktop and mobile form factor. Office is something tricky to get working on both desktop and mobile...

            Abiword in Libertine might work.

            Fairphone 5 (waiting for port)

Both instantly crash after loading when launched.

                Hi @LRV,
Sorry i am a bit late to answer, i have also been looking for an office like app on UT,
Have you tried using an online tool such as etherpad?

There are several downsides of course but so far it is the best experience i have had.
There is a web app available in the openstore :
                https://open-store.io/app/etherpad.milkor
But for me i cant import or export files with it,

I sometimes use https://framapad.org/en which you can access via a webapp with webber, it lets you import and exports files to work on, the webpage is publicly available but you can select the duration before it expires.
You can also create an account to manage pads and access rights.

@noelflantier Did someone already test Textmaker from Softmaker? There is a Linux version, but there is also an Android Version which is fully touch to use. I wonder whether it works satisfyingly in an Anbox?

@noelflantier The discussion is old, and the problem not solved.

Thank you for your great LightP Word Processor and we are very happy about it. We will test on our Pinephone with Ubports.

We suffer since longer time that there is no office software which has a community on Linux phones which is happy about it.

User reported that everything works with Libre Office on the Pinephone, but it is terribly laggish. Softmaker has their special application for Android. Maybe it works in an Anbox. But is Anbox not just Android on a Ubports, with the same disadvantages Android has?

Someone reported to use AbiWord and Gnumeric instead of LibreOffice on the Pinephone.
