      Hi users
I had an installation failure on my OP3T.
I wiped partitions /cache, /data and /system. Then I started ubports-installer-v0.6.0-beta until it sends files to device. Then the error message is displayed : "Error: unhandled rejection at [object Promise]: TypeError: Cannot read property 'title' of null"

      has someone an idea ?

@qmant from which OS are you installing? I had trouble at the same point using LinuxMint XFCE. No problem with Xubuntu 18.04 and 20.04.

Have look at this thread : https://forums.ubports.com/topic/3253/oneplus-3-3t

If your OP3T had android 9, you need to install android 8 (or lineage equivalent) before using UBports installer :

          1. flashed TWRP to recovery partition using fastboot
            fastboot flash recovery <twrp.img>
where twrp.img was downloaded from https://twrp.me/oneplus/oneplusthree.html

          2. rebooted phone if 'recovery' mode and then using UI of TWRP I did the following
            fixed 'cache' partition
            fixed 'data' partition
            formatted and fixed 'system' partition

After that installation with ubports-installer could be finished successfully.

@libremax Yes it was android 9 (I think). I found the same explanations as yours at this thread (french) : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=2048798

            I will try this solution.

Could you advise a tutorial to install android 8 ? Th' you

@thilov I'm installing from Linux Mint 19.3 cinnamon

The ubports-installer recommends me to "set udev rules". And after installation I had problems to hot-plug smartphone or tablet.

So I'll try from ubuntu 20.04. Do I need to install some tools before ubports installations ? Th' you

Yes, I am the same Libremax on both, so I give the same explanations. 😉

No, I installed my 3t using a live-stick and only installed the installer.
Lineageos 17.1 (Android 10) was on my device and I didn't go back to Android 8. But formating to ext4 like libremax said is needed.

@libremax merci. Effectivement je lis rarement les pseudos, je tente le manip ce soir.

Ok, I used the solution of libremax : redo an install of android 8 before installing with ubports-installer. And now Ubuntu is running.

Thanks a lot to libremax & thilov.
