How to get a web app to access the file manager?
-
I realize I may need a more complicated fix than this, but I am trying to build an app for Gab (Look it's controversial but it looks nice on my phone, not trying to submit it to the app store) and for some reason when I try to attach a photo it says "there are currently no apps installed that can provide this type of content". In the WebApp Creator I'm putting it as a simple app, multimedia so it should at least access Gallery but... no dice.
Maybe I'm too new to be trying this, but I feel like maybe I am missing a checkbox or something.

Never mind, I was beating myself up for nothing: it works fine with Webber.

What is Gab?

@keneda A controversial social network that has been pilloried in the media for its "free speech vs hate speech" stance. Basically the media claim is it's an "alt-right" haven (to be fair, you'll find the worst of the numberchan types there). I just block people like that and have found they have a fairly nice Linux community, as well as a few decent posters. It's not for everyone.

If everyone is welcome on this network and not only alt-right, i don't see any problem giving tools to access it, maybe even....

@keneda Eh, I might submit it to the app store. It would certainly grab attention (not sure if that's a good thing but I'm of the "all news is good news" school).
My bigger concern is after they forked Mastodon to update the back end, the Mastodon community basically shunned their nodes and the founder, who was originally all in on FOSS previously, now seems to want to close-source everything since the experience left a bad taste in his mouth, which is a real shame, since that makes it much more like the other small players in social like Parler and MeWe. There's a lot of talent on that team though, so I can still hope.
