I installed ubuntu touch on a google pixel 3a a few weeks abo and suddenly it won't boot anymore. I can get the bootloader, then the google splash screen, and the opening Ubuntu Touch screen and then it fails to boot all the way. Any ideas on how I might fix this?

      Thank you!

@monkeyman Will it boot when connected to a charger? Might be a battery issue

@lakotaubp It does the same thing plugged in vs not plugged in. Would like to reinstall Ubuntu Touch but when I try it doesn't recognize the device. Probably because it's not booted up.

@monkeyman did it stop working after an update?

The UBports installer should be able to reflash it when you select the device manually and boot the device with Vol+ & Power pressed. In that case make sure to select the bootstrap option when installing.

I have the same problem. Tried 3 times now to reload, system screen blacks out during boot, and nothing wakes it up. I can see the phone in the file manager on the pc, but i cannot access it.

For anyone else, if you do a factory reset and wipe out your personal data it will reload the os and work ok. IT would be nice to figure out what app or tweak causes the issue though.
