I am migrating from (K)Ubuntu to Debian Testing, will I will be able to flash devices from it?

Do we have to use Ubuntu to be able to flash UBPorts into devices?
In worse case scenario I guess I could use Ubuntu LiveCD for that rare operation, but maybe it's doable from Debian itself?
Thanks!

Las time I tried was a hell with dependencies, the best way it's to have a Ubuntu partition in your computer.

@Talkless I think installing VirtualBox with Ubuntu and set up a pass-through for the USB connection should work well. At least i believe more in that than using the LiveCD.

Yeah in fact I already have some virtual machines for various testing / development stuff, so if USB over VirutalBox would work OK, that is actually a rather acceptible solution. Thanks.

If you are just wanting to flash devices and not develop for them, then you should be fine using the UBports Installer on Debian. It is packaged as an AppImage
