No audio on phone calls
-
Just installed Ubuntu Touch via UBports on a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Got a pre-paid SIM card from AT&T. Everything works, sends & receives text, plays music, keypad sounds, even rings when someone calls, can dial out and the other phone rings, however there is no audio at all on the phone call. The other party can't hear me and I can't hear them. Don't ever hear the phone ringing when dialing out. I've tried the speakerphone, headphones & bluetooth, no sound on phones calls. Can't figure out if this is a Ubuntu problem, Galaxy Note 4 problem or a SIM card AT&T problem. Anybody got any ideas?

@livingwells this is a known issue with the 910 series, I have not had a chance to try debugging it lately as I have been busy with my personal life things, I hope someone can pick up where I left off with this port until I have a chance to come back to it, otherwise there may not be a fix in the immediate future. I also know that if you press a number on the dial pad while connexted on a phone call, the tone will go out, so there is at least a partial working route for call audio.

@tigerpro Thanks for the info.Dang, I'm stuck with two of these 910F's that I bought (new in unopened boxes, even though they are 6 years old).

Hello world!
Greetings to all of the UT community.
Unfortunately I have the same problem with my 910F. I wish I could contribute to its solution, but I lack programming skills -
@thanasis that is how I started out, if you would like to contribute to fixing it, there is a wealth of knowledge available in the telegram group, as well as in the documentation

@tigerpro
Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately other than some basic commands on python I don't know anything about programming. But, I am willing to give it a try. May I ask you to point me to a link? -
Hi @thanasis
The first pointers are here: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2068/halium-first-steps
And you can find additional help on Telegram.
I didn't try porting, but from what I heard/read you need more Linux knowledge than programing skills. -
@thanasis the best thing I can suggest is seeing what is needed (can find that in telegram and documentation) and see if there is a piece of that puzzle missing on note 4, logs will be very beneficial for this
