      Hi @ironveil and welcome,

It's best if you start a new thread in this category instead of reviving this old one.
Can you also give more details so people can try to help you?

@evoli Glaxy Note 4 has a terrible battery. This is a common cause of the black screen. One reason Samsung put out a separate charging box for the battery.

Things to try, leave the device on charge overnight. If no screen, you will probably need a new battery.

I have tow of these and the battery was the cause on both, but luckily I had the battery charging box and proved that the battery was the issue.

@m4l490n honestly I haven't had time to even touch the code in a year. There is documentation for making a port, just search for "ubports porting guide" and you will be able to find it. I happily accept any code contributions as long as they don't break the port.

@qian Eachport is very device specific, if there is not a port for your specific device it will not work. You will need to port the device some info here https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2068/halium-first-steps

So, I can confirm the phone is not recognised under Ubuntu.
Maybe you can try with adb https://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/userguide/advanceduse/adb.html?highlight=Adb .

Also, there is no audio in calls if you didn't know...

@formula82 No the roadblock is entirely the IMS subsystem, the handling of the SIP audio streams, dialling etc.

@dobey I wanted to try a T-mo phone to confirm its just the CDMA versions but after a saga of talking to a lot of less-than-savvy-individuals (to put it politely), I gave up. Sold the device to a guy using it as a smart mouse-pad. I'm now using a new Note20 Ultra vanilla with the moon-shot hope of "someday."

As far as T-mo SIM cards, I never used a T-mo branded phone, but certainly did test 3-4 T-mo SIM cards. Never worked. Data was perfect. The phone would get auto assigned a temp zombie phone number during "activation" then never finish.

Interestingly enough, my old S5 which was a T-mo phone, using a Ting T-mo branded universal sim kept on working because it was activated long before the T-mo/Sprint merger. I was never a T-mo customer, only a Sprint customer with my Note4.

For giggles I tried a few cards from Ting on the Note4 as a test in comparison. It was blacklisted upstream for Ting (as they are a MVNO for both).

I don't recommend anyone trying it with anything T-mo unless the phone is branded to support VoLTE and is new (obviously not a Note4). Never-mind Note4 technically could use VoLTE (like the T-mo likely does by permission only upstream)...but it was a complete nightmare. Sad to leave this project behind...for now.

@keneda Seems like actually a dodgy cable is the culprit, was using the original cable, but is actually pretty old so - fingers crossed...

@thanasis the best thing I can suggest is seeing what is needed (can find that in telegram and documentation) and see if there is a piece of that puzzle missing on note 4, logs will be very beneficial for this
