Hi my device is pretty unstable at the moment, are the following known issues? I couldn't find on bug tracker, but guess that doesn't mean they're not there.

        1. Camera App crashes and restarts the phone. It goes to black screen. Can't seem to provide permissions for the app. Often takes several attempts to power up again. Including removing the battery for a while.

        2. Inserting a SIM card causes device to be unable to boot, also as above takes a few attempts to then recover.

Considering reflashing in case it's just my install.

Is there a checklist anywhere that shows what specifically is tested and what's not working on this device?

        Thanks

          Hi @acor_uk

The information is not yet available on this page:
          https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/trlte/

This is where you should be able to find this information as well as on the git repository.

From the look of it I'd say that are serious bugs.
I don't own this device but the options are:

          1. Hardware issue (loose connections)
          2. Memory corruption causing processes to crash when hitting a bad sector. But it hardly explain the time required to recover.
          3. Major issue of the port when accessing the hardware components.

How old is your device and have you changed the battery ?
The camera and the sim drain significant power and maybe the battery cannot handle the pike.
I'm no expert but I work with hardware people and they sometime come up with such explanations...

@applee Thanks for the ideas, I think there might be a couple of things going on, but the battery is an issue with this device tbh. I have replaced and can do so again, but I think that this device is well known for having a rubbish battery life as in losing its capacity quite quickly even when the device was new.

It was plugged in on mains at the time, but will try at 100% and see how that goes, although it was working fine on Android prior to flashing it. I did have a few issues when installing UT, the time it succeeded weirdly the interface on my computer was saying still transferring files to the device, but the device itself was asking me to run through the initial setup at that point. So tempted to try and get it installed cleanly.

            Thanks for the link too.

              Any update on this device?

Ive acquired the same model, and has to decide to load lineage os or ubuntu touch..

              Any feedback would be appreciated?

                  Hi @ironveil and welcome,

It's best if you start a new thread in this category instead of reviving this old one.
Can you also give more details so people can try to help you?
