Oneplus 3 developer mode

I have a problem with adb giving me an unauthorized devices warning and not communicating with my OP3. The only time adb can find my phone is in recovery mode.One thing I have found out is the the developer option switch resets anytime I reboot, and even when on, it does not seem to help. Are these two things realted? And can someone point me to a fix or info thanks.

@lakotaubp I thought MTP was a known problem on the OP3, is MTP working for most people?

@phoenixlandpirat I will re try not used my 3 for a few months but sure it was working. Info might be in the old locked thread.

@lakotaubp Yeah it worked for a while with me, but stopped working a while back, so i think its a old bug thats come back.

@phoenixlandpirat Mine opened straight away. This was on a surface 3 windows mc (my laptop has died, but thats another story), but MTP still works on my OP3.
Edit: Meant to say on RC 9 at present.
