Can the N26 app be used on UT?
-
 Hi. I refer to this bank account: https://n26.com/en-eu. It looks like an app is mandatory AFAICT. I'd like a N26 account and use it only from my Desktop PC. Edit: Would this suffice? https://open-store.io/app/n26.thefeijoo97 (pity it's proprietary and not in English) Thanks.

 @opolork I cant confirm, but i think its not, or not yet working.
 I even had problems with lineageos + microg here...

 Are the N26 (also Revolut) apps open-source?
-
 @opolork I would say no (N26), they only have some snippets published on Github but not the full app:

-
 @h_b Ok, thanks. Hopefully both will one day get open-sourced.

 @arubislander
 And what about Comdirect PhotoTan?
 https://www.comdirect.de/cms/sicherheit-pin-tan.html#nutzung_desktop
 (and I think a similar situation for DKB)The base app also works without SIM and without net (like a "token" generator)

 @flaviomala, This is an Android and iOS app, which probably communicates with the bank's servers via non open API"s. There isn't even a(n) (web)app for this in the OpenStore. And I doubt we will be seeing a version for Ubuntu Touch anytime soon. Banking apps in general will be an issue until there is a critical mass of users achieved.
