Can the N26 app be used on UT?
-
Hi.
I refer to this bank account: https://n26.com/en-eu. It looks like an app is mandatory AFAICT. I'd like a N26 account and use it only from my Desktop PC.
Edit: Would this suffice? https://open-store.io/app/n26.thefeijoo97 (pity it's proprietary and not in English)
Thanks.

@opolork I cant confirm, but i think its not, or not yet working.

According to the description in the OpenStore you'd still need an Android or iOS device registered to the account.

Are the N26 (also Revolut) apps open-source?
-
@opolork I would say no (N26), they only have some snippets published on Github but not the full app:

@h_b Ok, thanks. Hopefully both will one day get open-sourced.

@arubislander
And what about Comdirect PhotoTan?

(and I think a similar situation for DKB)The base app also works without SIM and without net (like a "token" generator)

@flaviomala, This is an Android and iOS app, which probably communicates with the bank's servers via non open API"s. There isn't even a(n) (web)app for this in the OpenStore. And I doubt we will be seeing a version for Ubuntu Touch anytime soon.
Banking apps in general will be an issue until there is a critical mass of users achieved.
