@padu If my memory serves me the issues with the OPO camera will not be fixed until it gets rebased off of Halium 7.1 which is in the works.

OnePlus One with UT OTA-15 daily driver. I would be testing the Halium 7.1 port if I could roll back to OTA-15

@padu, true, there is an issue with zoom in the camera-app. We should be able to ship an update to the app to fix it, and indeed the Pull Request is already filed.

@UniSuperBox You think this should also be fixed before the release?

Checked on Volla : When sound is on, it seems that there is no sound when taking a picture or a screenshot. Vibration doesn't seem to work for photo. Other phones too ?

Everyone, because we've had several regressions found and fixed in the past 2 days, we are going to be reissuing RC again.

However, since it's now 4:30PM on Friday and I'm the last one in the virtual office, I think I should hold on pushing this image until Monday.

We don't particularly want to release the OTA-16 image with only 2 days of testing, so we will push release back by another week. The new release date of OTA-16 is March 15, 2020.

@unisuperbox I prefer a good update over a fast update!

                                Is currently using an Op5t
Also owns an Op1, a BQ E4.5 and an Xperia X, as well as a BQ tablet and a Pinetab2. Please, someone... make it stop.

                                  @unisuperbox It isn't a problem to wait for OTA-16.
Something else : At times the scrolling of web pages in morph as well as webapps or dekko is jerky. This happens with a BQ (frequently) as well as the Volla (surprising given its memory). It's not new, I don't think it's a regression but I'd like to understand the theoretical reason(s) if you know even if it's not solved at the moment. Closing the page (only reloading isn't enough) or the email and reloading usually (not always) solves the problem.

@domubpkm It's due to lack of GPU acceleration, I'm pretty sure.

@dobey Okay. Hopefully this can be implemented enough quickly for devices that can. Can we say that the better the quality of the network, the less there is this kind of problem or a smooth scrolling of the pages is not subordinated to the quality of the network ?

Sure good quality network makes scrolling better, on ubports for example that's obvious since messages on big threads are loaded when scrolling ^^

@keneda Yes.... But I'm wary of the obvious because, as I said, just reloading a web page with bad scrolling doesn't improve the bad scrolling even with a quality network: you have to close the web page and restart it to remove the problem. All UT users must have noticed this i think.

I don't have that kind of issue, scrolling sometime is laggy yes, but never it stay like that.

On the other way sometime morph kind of freeze, nothing i can do on the screen, but it's simple to workeround, just start swipping from right (swapping apps gesture), and then release, and morph is alive again.

@domubpkm said in OTA-16 Call for Testing:

or a smooth scrolling of the pages is not subordinated to the quality of the network ?

I would say it depends on the page design. If it's also hitting network and loading more data when scrolling (ie, as infinite scroll), then of course network speed also matters.
