Hello, I have a pixel 3a and trying to flash Ubports on it. But every time when I get into recovery mode, the USB will disconnected automatically, all of the connections will be lost and the installer will be like "waiting for device, adb is scanning for devices.". What can I do? Please help me!

If your under windows, try to see if device (adb) driver is installed for recovery mode (open device manager and see what's happening when you connect your device previously booted in recovery).
For my device i had this kind of problem under windows, and i had to pair adb driver for normal/recovery/fastboot modes to make it work.

I'm not on W10, but 7, and i just used ubports installer, that worked great for my device after doing what i just told you, installing drivers for each device mode.
Here the thread that i posted at that time :

Maybe your issue is different from mine, but, if you have a windows to test, it worth the try.

@givemeaname Please try the latest installer 0.8.8 or 0.8.6
Edit: Use the wipe option when asked and try the Dev channel. I don't have this device but on OP3 twrp was needed to clear and format data and cache to ext 4 for a similar issue but try other cables first. Also if it wasn't on stock android the partitions may be wrong.

@lakotaubp I tried 0.8.8, and I cannot find 0.8.6 download link. By the way, I am using Fedora Linux 33 as host OS in VirtualBox.

@givemeaname https://github.com/ubports/ubports-installer/releases/tag/0.8.6-beta use the snap if you can and try Ubuntu maybe, not familier with Fedora myself.. Also don't forget wipe and bootstrap when asked.
