Installing Ubuntu Touch and SP Flash Tool
I have a BQ Aquaris M10 FHD with Android installed and I am trying to install UbuntuTouch per these instructions:
However, at Step-11 my SP Flash Tool download/update is never able to finish. The farthest I have gotten a red bar that says 100% but never seems to finish.
I suspect that my device is not being detected properly but am not sure what to try next. Does anyone have advice?

You may be able to pick some information out of this old post where I was having trouble reflashing the old canonical version of UT before using the ubports installer to update to latest version.
On my posts I'm 'A Former User' but my name at the time was 'ziggutas'.
In particular it was the link to the archived mybq information that helped get things going.

Thank you both. Using your links, I was able to find and download the firmware and drivers for the M10: https://web.archive.org/web/20160912003135/http://www.mibqyyo.com/descargas/categorias/aquaris-m10-fhd-ubuntu-edition/
I am now stuck with a
BROM ERROR : S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032) [EMI] Enable DRAM failmessage but will keep trying.

If you are using an ubuntu machine to install, it could help to temporarily remove the package modemmanager
sudo apt-get remove modemmanager sudo service udev restart
You can reinstall it after you are done flashing the bq; see:
@hankschwie, I am currently using Windows but may be able to borrow an Ubuntu machine for this.
Pardon my ignorance but would I be able to accomplish this using Ubuntu booted from a USB stick, or would Ubuntu I need to be installed on the machine?

AFAIK you can use a portable version booted from an USB stick as long as you can install the UBports installer and download the images.
Edit: The flash tool too of course for the go back to canonical's version of Ubuntu Touch
@applee Thank you, I will try that!
