      As the title says...
I rebootet the phone several times, changed the unlock mode to everything but Fingerprint-ID and back, tried to add new fingeprints, deleted all fingerprints...

Now I can't add new Fingerprint-IDs, of course...
The sensor does literally nothing any more...

Can I get a status via terminal or what am I supposed to do?

      Thank you!

      EDIT:
After some more reboots the sensor is suddenly back working. What might have caused this? I wonder why the sensor stopped working and after a random number of reboots works again. Why not after one reboot? It's always the same process, right?
So what am I supposed to do if that happens again?

@jojumaxx What channel are you on? Did you apply any updates between the last reboot and this one?

@arubislander I'm sorry for my late answer.

I'm on stable channel. No, I did not apply any updates in between...

I had a similar problem some time ago (see https://forums.ubports.com/post/45373).
But this time that was not the solution...

Well, I have no Violla phone and so no Way to check. But my guess would be that some service the fingerprint device depends on was not starting up for whatever reason. Might be some kind of race condition in which the service wants to be started up too early and fails.
