I saw some youtube videos of people playing games like classic world of warcraft and such on their mobilephones (with mouse and keyboard). And I started wondering if this could be doable on ubuntu phone.

Firstly I'm not sure if you can install desktop os like ubuntu 20.04 on your mobilephone without runing it ontop of android os? If that is possible, would be really cool! And if not, would it be doable to run desktop os ontop of UT instead and play some nice games, like classic world of warcraft e.g.? Is this something that might happen in the future?

I think it's quite doable. For warcraft or starcraft, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a linux executable lying around somewhere. I would start there, this way you can try to directly start it in a libertine container. The other route is via wine in libertine which surprisingly can be made to work (with a little sweat it seems). None of these methods are assured to work though. I might try it one day though, I think it's a fun idea ^^

@emphrath For classic Warcraft/Starcraft games, probably the place to start would be with Stratagus https://github.com/Wargus/Stratagus as it is an SDL2 engine for the original Warcraft.

There are some other games already in the open store, such as OpenTTD, Neverball, and Tux Racer, I think.

There is Lutris or Faugus launchers that you can run Battle.net from. Would be interesting if this would work via Libertine.
