      Hello everybody.

So just installed UB ports on my Pixel 3a.
I tried to use Pure Maps but it never connected.

Here's test_gps logs. It just says GPS interface not found.

      Thanks

@alexandrius I can confirm, but also Unav works for some reason.

Currently Using: Google Pixel 3a (sargo) OTA-17

On my pixel 3a I am able to use GPS, although it is slow to connect. It is my understanding that only gps hardware is used, so it does not get the "head start" provided by approximate location from cell tower settings.

          Try this.

-Set "lock when idle" to "never" from system settings/ battery. (I think GPS is shut down when locked)

-Run "sensor status" app from Open Store
          -go outside
-Select GPS, mine shows "found supported backend", and "active"
-wait until you get a location. This could be several (10?) minutes, although mine is usually faster.

          -Try your map software

Once you verify functionality, you can probably skip a lot of this.

            Hello,

I am having problems locating the gps on the pixel 3a. It seems to have ‘found supported backend’ and is ‘active’ but none of the apps that use gps can find my location. I have left it on for over an hour with no success...

              Hi @jite

I have an Pixel 3a running "Stable".
              No issue with the GPS.

When you let your phone open, were you out in the open?
Also the screen must remain on and an app actively searching for your location.

My steps are to just launch Pure Maps and choose to navigate to somewhere.
Pure Maps keep the screen on when navigating (default setting) so I don't have to do much then leave the phone do its thing.
