I could've sworn GPS was working, but after I got lost not having my handy map app (pure maps) I downloaded and noticed neither it nor Morph connected to GPS. Any steps/known issue/is it just me?

@totalrando Just takes a while on first connection due to not having the A in AGPS.

@povoq 20 minutes with Pure Maps on a windowsill and no dice. No apps approve location in settings. Is there a way to ping my phone to ensure GPS isn't broken?

@totalrando Even a windowsill may not get a good enough signal. Repeat the test outside.

@cliffcoggin ok will have to do that in a few hours then.

EDIT: would you believe this turned GPS on?

It happened to me that the GPS broke, in this case if you check the system settings, something like privacy and then location you should find a list of apps with switches to grant them access to the GPS data.

When the GPS crashed on my phone, nothing was available there to modify.

It was fixed with a hard reboot.

@totalrando I can believe it because I have known an OTA update to turn off Location Detection in the past.
