I just checked and the Purism Librem 5 phone is 85% of the way to their $1.5M goal! If you were thinking about supporting them but didn't think they could make it, think again! Go to Puri.sm web site now and support them if you want to see free-er phones.

@JoeBeach Hope they will make it, I did a 20$ pledge two weeks ago, wishing this could help. Anyone able to spare that sum, should do it soon.

Seems they will make it. They're now on 90.90% already, nearly 5% in only one day.

They will not fail in reaching the goal, already not for the bigger players involved (like KDE foundation). They are now at 95.14% and any new +0.04% (which means $600) is one more devices pre ordered, i.e 125 orders to go. After this we (i.e. who ordered a full device) have to wait until January 2019 to see the first devices shipped, hopefully, with a complete opens source system. We will see and have to hope.
Until that date, let's focus in improvement of our beloved UT / UBports devices.
