      Hi, I wanted to see if I could install Kodi on the Ubuntu Touch.

        @kunai
        It is not something available outof the box, but I guess it is doable.
        In my opinion it's not worth the effort because repurposing a phone as a media player is overkill when a raspberry pi will do the job easily.

        If you still want to give it a try, you can try with Libertine but I guess the GUI won't work.
        You can also try with Anbox but low probably IMHO.
        Or you'll have to package a native app from sources and probably replace or refactor the GUI...

          @applee @Kunai Kodi is available for SFOS, and source is available so porting it to Ubuntu Touch should at least be a possibility.

          It's nice, and it supported media formats that the default media player couldn't, as well as being SMB friendly so I could browse my home media collection in bed without waking up the kids by watching a movie in the living room on the repurposed PC kodi box/TV/stereo system. For my use case, a raspberry pi isn't really a good fit.
