Unlock Touch file system

Wish to add VPN app to Touch, but system reports file system is locked when I attempt to install.
Key strokes in Touch to open file system and gain access to enable loading VPN and Miracle cast apps please. -
Many thanks for the guidance and the warnings. And noted that the updates may/will over write whatever I have installed.
I have 2 Nexus 5 phones. One has hardware issues but works as my Guinea Pig device for trying something new in uncharted waters for me. -

Use system settings tweaks from Ubuntu Touch Tweak Tool app in the open store.Beware that any mod you make on normally unwritable files will be lost if you make any OTA system update.
Also, any mod on those files could lead to unwanted system behaviors, such use cases are not supported by ubports foundation.
Do it at your own risk.
