Trying to transfer files via Bluetooth--Win10 computer and GP 3A recognize each other, but cannot send or receive files to either.

Connecting USB--neither GP 3A or Win10 computer recognize each other as file containers.

      What do?

@melu9wuv can't you simply use USB?
Alternatively there is Wifitransfert app, or uFTP.

I don't think you can use bluetooth like you would like, you can share a file via utouch with another device using bluetooth via content hub, but afaik you can use your device like a "mass storage".

To share a file via BT, from your uTouch phone, open file manager, go to the file folder, and swipe to the left the file you want to share, then you'll see 3 dots linked each other, touch this, it will pop up the share content hub, and then you'll be able to choose BT.

I'm using this app for bluetooth file-transfer

          BQ Aquaris E4.5 (UT 16.04)
          Vollaphone (UT 20.04)

@keneda Thanks. When I plug in the USB, neither the phone nor the computer recognize each other as file containers. The only thing that happens is a slow trickle charge of the phone. Bluetooth fails to work, either sending or receiving, or via the app mentioned below. The error message is "this bluetooth device or computer cannot process files of this type". When I swipe left on a file I want to share, the 'share via bluetooth' wording appears, but nothing happens.

WifiTransfer app can be used to copy files from and to the UT device however it's limited to its directories. I believe there's an unconfined version that has access to all home directories.

I think the best option though is to configure SSH and use SFTP. On Linux it's very simple to use. On Windows, just download WinSCP. I use it for mt Windows install too 😉

Besides the already mentioned Wifi Transferapp - https://open-store.io/app/wifitransfer.costa
using Syncthing on UT and Windows devices works very well for file transfers in my experience - https://open-store.io/app/syncthing.syncthing .
Also - if you have a NextCloud account then UBsync works great for automated backups and file transfers as well. https://open-store.io/app/ubsync
There is also the Bluetooth File Transfer app available at https://open-store.io/app/ubtd.rubencarneiro - but I have had problems using this on my Volla.

                Best regards,

@totalsonic Thank you, but this appears to be currently beyond my capability to understand. I will have to work at this for some time to figure out what to do.

From what i can read on your device page, MTP (wich is media transfert protocol, the common way to use a device like an USB key) should work.

The fact your device is only charging when plugged on USB could be a USB cable issue.
