      Hello there
Do I need to remove my Redmi Note 7 from MI Account after successful Ubuntu Touch installation?
Got a startup of the device with screen "Redmi by Xiaomi unlocked" before ubuntu starts.

I don't think you need to do that, it's only a specific splashscreens i believe.

        Spare : Nexus 5 (Stable)

@smoozz The unlocked splash screen is just what shows up if the phone bootloader is unlocked.

I've been trying to get in contact with the UBports admins to add a custom splash screen which shows "powered by ubports foundation" but to no avail.

@danct12 And now it's added, soon will be added to the installer. If anyone wants to try it out here it is: https://cdimage.ubports.com/devices/lavender/splash.img

@danct12 Thanks a lot for your work on RN7 Lavender.
As it's shown as "inactive" in the porting progress, several people are asking whenever it's possible to finish the port by adding the missing features? (Offline charging, video recording, Bluetooth calls in car, charging indicator and automatic brightness adjustment).
In the mean time, I had to swap my device to an alternate ROM (/e/OS currently) as I professionally need to be reachable on my car journeys; but would love to flash back to UT as soon as it will work fine 😉

                Many thanks.
