        Hello,
I want to install Ubuntu Touch on my Asus Transformer Pad TF103C tablet running on Android 4.4. If a port is made, I am ready to test it.

PS: I am French and the translation is with Deepl 🙂

@alrico @alrico Please see this message https://forums.ubports.com/topic/206/will-you-port-to-device-x There is no port for this device but xubuntu or lubuntu might work but if your machine is 32bit Ian not sure they are still available.

I leave you a link to the configuration of the tablet pc. Also, I believe the documentation page on the port is no longer available.

              Bonjour,

              Hello,
I will speak in French because I have a doubt about the translation by Google Trad or Deepl.
During the first message I sent, I indicated my desire to pass on my tablet pc
Asus Transformer Pad TF103C from Android (since it runs Android 4.4.2) to Ubuntu Touch.
A moderator referred me to another section because where I had written my message, it was not compatible and since then nothing. I resent a dunning message, nothing. I throw a bottle in the sea (humor) to find out if it is possible to port this tablet to Ubuntu Touch.

              thanks in advance

@alrico I have added a translation for you. Your device is android 4.4 that is very old and highly unlikely to be worth starting a port check out the info here https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2068/halium-first-steps

There is no uTouch port for your tablet, so either you need to do it by yourself, or to wait for someone with the same do it.
But given its age and hardware, it surelly doesn't worth the effort.
There is no deepl problem, only we do not ask to port on x or y device here, that's not how work porting protocol.

Try to post in english, use deepl translator if needed.
There is not any halium for android 4.4.
First one is halium 5 i believe.
So you should have to port from scratch.
But there, a dev would be a much better help to explain porting on any case figure.

But as stated earlier, this device is really underpowered so maybe it doen't worth the effort.

                              Lubuntu is not Ubuntu Touch.

Are you actually working on porting Ubuntu Touch on it ?

                                Hello everyone,

I am porting to Asus TF103C with LineageOS.
I'm getting the android_device_[manufacturer]_[device] repositories containing cm.dependencies. The thing that is surprising is that the TF101 repository is available while I believe that it is older than TF103C and I am told on this forum and another Ubuntu Forum that this device is too old ?????
In addition, I saw on the tablet in terms of compatibility and power and it goes very well but after software I do not know that is why I made this test port to see.

                                Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

                                  Hello,
After all this time, I've kind of given up.

Is there an OS for old tablets that uses little hardware resource?

                                  🙂

@alrico I use Lineage on the older tablets, but even that loses support.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.... And more...
                                    I have too many devices...
