@anonymoustly Most people would regard 70 dB as more than loud enough. Do you have hearing problems?

Yes 70 dB is enough for me (mostly too loud), my ears are very sensitive.
But sometimes i have audio recorded in a very low volume (voice recorder, telephone call or a YouTube video with low volume), it is better too have some reserves. Then it is possible to get not more than 40-50 dB out, too low in noisy environments.
I'm not in favor of lowering the max volume excessively, better a warning and common sense. We are not children that everything has to be pre-cooked.

@anonymoustly Try the application uVolMan. It allows you to set the volume for different inputs.

Hi @anonymoustly said in How loud is max volume on your Ubuntu phone?:

How loud sounds your Ubuntu touch phone? (please at brand and type), same even loud as Android and iOS?
              ....

I was asking myself same thing about sound volume on my FP3+ !!!
I also find it very low ... even after installing uVolMan, sound is never as high as I'd like.... which is better for ears yes👂 but wich is not perfect to set up a confortable volume :detective:

I recently had such an issue in an update to my OP5T. Ringing volume was very low and so was in-call volume etc. After I updated my phone, the issue disappeared.

I am on the RC channel. Are you guys on stable?

For me it's the other way around, it's too loud. My BQ4.5 and then Nexus 5 were fine, but not the OnePlus One I bought last year. The volume is two clicks (taps/levels) up from completely off, and I always jump a bit when the alarm goes off for example. Also the vibrations are much more powerful than the other phones, which is sadly not configurable last time I checked.

We appear to have two thrads going on about the same device and issue https://forums.ubports.com/topic/6913/sound-volume-is-very-low-how-can-i-boost-it can I suggest that @anonymoustly picks the one most relevant and we shut the other one. Just let us know and we can lock one. That will stop answers getting lost or duplicated.
