        Hello, UBports Community 😃

I have sucessfully installed UBP (stable) with the Installer on my FP3+. 😃

But I have several problems and problems with setting up libertine and/or waydroid.
I need a bit help. I searched ofc for solutions in the internet, but I am not as much experienced with linux, but love the idea of Open Source OS on my smartphone and want to support UBports.

        1. Bluetooth
        • 1.1 Two parallel BT-Devices
I can't use my Bluetooth Keyboard paralell to my Bluetooth Mouse. If I connect the First Device sucessfully, I connect the second device. Now, If the second device is connected, both devices not work anymore or sometimes only the second device work.

*1.2 BT-Keyboard could not connect twice
Also the Keyboard after several hours could not connect again without new peering.

        • 1.3: BT-Monitor from Touch-UI
The Bluetooth Monitor dont work correctly in Touch UI. It show me devices as availible that are for sure not active anymore.

        • 1.4: Can't change (BT-)Keyboard Language/Layout in Terminal
It is not possible to change Keyboard-Language with localectl set-keymap, cause there are no mappings available. It's very annoying to type in terminal with touch keyboard.

        1. Morph Browser
        • 2.1 root-CAs
There is no way to add a trusted root ca or domain ca to the browsers or OS cert storage from the UI. Much country-local websites I could not open without always get a error warning.

        • 2.2 No videos or protected content playable.
Its not possible to open for example the webplayer from spotify, also much video content is impossible to use.

        1. Libertine
        • 3.1 Container hangs while installation from desktop-apps sometimes in a infinity-loop.
The UBP UI has no way to kill or delete a container. I always have to remove the container with the terminal and reinstall it, if that problems come up.

        • 3.2 Firefox don't work
Is there any working browser for libertine, where working most things normal?

        1. Waydroid
        • I looked in different posts and forums, but I could not sucessfully start waydroid.

        Thanks for your help.

Hi, most of your points are already know issues or limitations.
          Please check the FAQ first.

Also for Firefox, there is an existing thread on the forum. It is not straight forward but doable.

I don't think it is an infinite loop. Follow this, take a close look at what's going on and be patient ...

The only case where there is an infinite loop is when the installation script ask a question because unfortunately, Libertine application installer doesn't allow to answer (for example : wireshark)

                @debian

                Morph-browser and videos:

                • drm content does not work (it's a global, not device specific issue)
                • other videos should work, I am not aware of any issue in this regard, please post an example

                Waydroid:

                • make sure that your terminal does not go to sleep (use App UT Tweak Tool) or just set system-settings/battery-option "time until sleep" to "never".
                • use terminal:
                  • sudo mount -o rw,remount /
                  • sudo apt update && sudo apt install waydroid -y
                  • sudo waydroid init
                • restart
                • start waydroid by clicking the waydroid app icon in the app-drawer
                • wait about 30 seconds
                • there maybe two open windows after starting, you can close one of them (which seems to free RAM btw.), pick the black one

If you close all waydroid windows, you will need to restart the waydroid container or "stop" it properly, to make it successfully starting again.
For this you can use the waydroid helper app and install the "stop-helper-app". Execute it, after closing all waydroid windows or if you just want waydroid to stop, which saves battery.

                Devices: BQ e4.5, Fairphone 2, Fairphone 3, Lenovo X605F, Pinephone, Moto Z2 Force, OnePlus5T
