Network indicator broken after flashing from Canonical
-
"I completed my transition to Ubports this morning by restoring from the backup on my SD card to my M10. Unfortunately it copied something in the file system from my imperfect Canonical image whereby the network indicator is broken, I just see "indicator-network" and the tiny gear settings logo on it. Going to WiFi under System Settings just shows prior Wi-Fi networks and no ability to connect."
Asking at Telegram Supergroub the solution provided by the community is that has to be removed the lock file on ~/.config/connectivity-service: with the command: rm config.ini.lock
What basically is happening is that the indicator thinks another instance is already running, and does not start.
