Problem with shutdown
-
@kristatos Volla Phone X exhibits the same behaviour. From what I can remember my old (now dead due to broken screen) Nexus 5 had problems with shurdown / reboot options.
-
@kristatos : confirmed on my Volla Phone. I always close apps before shutdown, so didn't notice before. I don't think it has been reported. Couldn't find it

The last days I found out, how to provoke this issue. The problem appears, when telephone- and messaging-app and dekko is opened and you try to poweroff the device. Then lomiri just restarts and after that you can really poweroff.
I'm able to provoke this behaviour several times in a row. And it's the same on E4.5 and Volla. On the Volla there is no swap used when these three apps are opened (what was thought to be the reason for this). -
@kristatos : I can reproduce this behavior with 4 random apps open, but none of the mentioned apps. For instance with browser, gallery, camera, contacts open on my Volla, it also restarts at tapping shutdown.
-
@alter I've tested it again with 4 random apps, and it's the same behaviour. When I look at the unity8-log I can see, that it's trying to close all open apps and when there are only two apps left, unity8 restarts:
- app1, app2, app3, app4 left
- closing app4
- app4 closed
- app1, app2, app3 left
- closing app3
- app3 closed
- app1, app2 left
- restart of unity

@kristatos : it seems this issue hasn't been reported yet. You can report here:

-
@kristatos : Thanks for reporting the issue to the UT developers on Github!

Whole ui randomly restarts sometimes when I use waydroid and try to use multiple apps in Ubuntu touch as well. (not trying to shutdown) all apps close too while I dont want that.
Would this be related?
-
@quget I don't think this is related but you can have a look at the logs, maybe you can already see what's the problem.
-
Hi @quget
An explanation would be that you ran out of RAM.

Halium 9 and Halium 10 devices might encounter this issue. It has been here for a while.
