hey guys i have a new problem that external bluetooth keyboard not working with input method.

I am trying to use a bluetooth keyboard with oneplus one Ubuntu touch. However, I can only input English but not Chinese or other input methods.

I would like to know, if the external keyboard can only input English and not other languages?

          Hello
          Have a look here.
It seems that nobody is working on that ...
However, outside Libertine, the bluetooth keyboard works for me (FR layout)

@pulsar33 It looks like our situation is similar. I am using Chinese, the touch keyboard can be used normally, but the external bluetooth keyboard can only input English.

I also changed the keyboard layout, but still no effect. Similar to the link above.

@keneda I haven't tested libertine, because oneplus one is a 32-bit chip, but many programs are designed for 64-bit systems, and there will always be various errors when using libertine in oneplus one.

@liutaoabab so it's not exactly the same problem as outside Libertine, my Bluetooth Keyboard works in French as expected.
When (and only when) your bluetooth keyboard is connected and you type in a key, you can then find a special line in langage preference to define the "bluetooth keyboard" langage. This option is called "external keyboard" or "physical keyboard" ... Can't you ?

@liutaoabab It seems like the issue you are seeing here is that in UT we unfortunately don't have support for alternate input methods when using physical keyboard, so you are not able to use fcitx or simliar. Is that correct?

@dobey Yes, I will make a video in the next few days to illustrate this. The desktop mode and input method of Ubuntu touch are very important, which will affect its promotion to a certain extent. Now my oneplus one cannot use the desktop mode, and there are some problems with the input method, which makes it difficult for me to promote it to others.
