Consiglio redmi note 7
-
Hi Diego and welcome to UBports forum.
Please consider that this thread is in English. I therefore did translate your words below.
Ubuntu Touch is a reliable and exciting GNU/Linux operating system for smartphones and tablets.
On the system itself you can not install Android/IOS apps but a lot of alternatives apps and webapps though their own app store "OpenStore".
It's also possible to install "WayDroid" service, which is a full LXC LineageOS 17.1 container, to access to some Android apps. This is however still highly experimental (but works fine for most users).
You can also install some Linux software via "Libertine".Ubuntu Touch respects your privacy and offers a smooth experience. It's designed to be elegant and easy to use. It has initially be created by Canonical (Ubuntu), and since 2017 it's developed and maintained by the UBports team and it's community who achieve an amazing job!
Redmi Note 7 runs fine on Ubuntu Touch, except a few things that still do not work:
. Offline charging
. Battery charge indicator
. Bluetooth phone calls
. Video recording
. Microphone access in browser
. Automatic brightness adjustment
. NFCAll other features work great and the system is pretty reactive and stable.

Hi all, I am the owner of a redmi note 7 4gb RAM and 128gb Rom, as I use the phone for work with certain apps, telegram WhatsApp etc, having seen that they are present in the app list and so far so good.
My question is since I'm faint of heart and tired of Android that jams all the time, since I regularly use Ubuntu on my computers and I find it extremely lean, responsive and reliable, can I consider this system at its equal or is it still too early for a neophyte like me?
However, you have wonderful ideas, I especially liked the program to facilitate the less practical to install the operating system, praise praise, keep it up.
However, know that I admire you all very much for your commitment and you have all my respect! -
