        Hello!

I decided to flash my old fairphone to ubuntu touch-image. I wonder it's possible to install Samba and share a folder in SD card?

I see a tutorial https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/install-and-configure-samba but I don't know that these package are included in ubuntu touch-image or at least supported?

I see another solutions like ftp transfer, bluetooth or syncthing but I prefer using samba due to another devices in home network.

        Thank you

Samba in Ubuntu Touch is a topic... It should work in file manager, but doesn't as it is.
Use forum search fonction you'll find lot of infos, and even some workaround to make it work.

@Keneda if i understand correctly @FelixTC want to install samba server on his phone, and other topics are about using file manager as samba client.

I'm also attempting to install samba, but it's hard, you can't use apt install more here https://askubuntu.com/questions/1271175/ubuntu-touch-how-do-i-apt-get-install and i tried to do this trick with sudo mount -o, remount,rw / but i don't recommend it. In my case it broke only thing which you can use to run apt install - Libertine Containers. In those container i was able to install samba and configure it, but for now i cannot connect to it, even using localhost 😕
