Hello everyone. I'll just write this as a token of my own experience, and arguably a summary of what to expect.
I went to halium-dev from stable because a lot of things weren't working on stable back then. Most noticeably, proximity sensor failed to do its job. The changes brought to qt-engine were missing from stable and in-browser mic support was inexistent.
Going into halium-dev, things immediately show the better driver implementation through halium: proximity sensor worked as it should, I could double tap to wake screen, but mostly, battery life was immensely better. Axolotl, (Signal) on the other hand, crashes, and that's why after almost a year, i'm back on stable, where I noticed a few things I did not remember ^^.
Colors are deeper, prettier. All apps work, including some that didn't, but now do, thanks to changes in qtwebengine. The whole OS is way faster, controls are as snappy as they'll get on such an old thing. It crashes way less. But the battery. I don't get it. On halium-dev, for the first time with UT (my first device having been a FP2) I could enjoy a normal, expected battery life for a new battery. With a normal use, with occasional streaming and camera use, I could expect two to three days. Now, it barely lasts a day, while doing nothing. It just stands there with only cellular (no data) on and drains from 100 to 0 in one day. Any idea why such a difference ? Anyhow, that was it, thanks.

@emphrath battery seems to last about a day for me too as I'm also on stable. Axolotl is crashing for me though and does not send messages. How did you download & install it? I got it from the Open Store

@mongoose same here, from the openstore. Have you tried clearing the cache with UTTT, uninstalling and reinstalling ?
