Hey guys, I think now my OnePlus 6t is hard bricked. I installed Ubuntu Touch successfully, but now after some days I tried to boot it again, because I want to test it now. But for some reasons it booted and after this it was shortly blue (light blue) and than it gone dark. I tried to boot it again, powered it off, loaded it (still while loading it kept dark). In the MsmDownloader Tool I can't get it in. Whats happened? I thought it was still okay at all. 😕 I think I hard bricked it now, but how?! The installation was successfully done and I already installed succesfully apps.

@shadowcastiel Try putting it through the installer again when you are sure it's filly charged. If it worked and booted once and you have done nothing else I would start checking battery charging etc. first, then a reinstall it should not be hard bricked just a matter of tracking down the issue.

@lakotaubp okay I tried now anything. The Msm Downloader (show nothing). Pressing Vol- and Vol+ for more than 5 Sec. Pressing Vol+ and Power for some Secs. Pressing Vol+, Vol- and Power together for more than a min. Nothing happens at all. So now I connected the Phone again and in the device manager is now: "Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device". What?! How can this be?

@shadowcastiel and the installer how does that go. No idea what has happend but worth a try. Do not use the wipe option if you have any data on it, if not use that.

Possibility of a dying battery struggling to output to screen.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.... And more...
              I have too many devices...

@MrT10001 may well be right. Try booting while connected to a power supply. Though why the battery is so depleted on a OP6 is another question.

I do not think you hard bricked your phone.
I saw the dame behavior with an almost empty battery. The screen was shortly blue (light blue) and than it gone dark. You just need to charge your battery a bit more before trying again.

In my case it first showed a "battery is too low" screen. Then I charged a bit and it then showed the behavior you described. (with shortly light blue screen) . Then after charging even more it could successfully boot again.

In my case all these problems are related to a strange behavior when powering off the phone. Take look here . Unfortunately the software issue still doesn't seem to be fixed.
