I see Linphone but it seems to only make SIP to SIP calls. Is there something I can use to Voip to landlines?

      Xperia X

Linphone should be able to do that. The page in the OpenStore says:

        With Linphone you can:

        • create a SIP account from Linphone.org
        • log in with your existing SIP account (*)
        • call to another SIP or eNum (free of charge)
        • call regular phone numbers (requires a SIP account with credit)

        https://open-store.io/app/linphone.cibersheep

        Is currently using an Op5t
Also owns an Op1, a BQ E4.5 and an Xperia X, as well as a BQ tablet and a Pinetab2. Please, someone... make it stop.

I have it logging in to my VoIP.ms account just fine. But... it doesn't seem to call out. The similar (but with more setting options) Zoiper on Android works great.

@777funk Did you remember to add the @gateway.voip.ms after the number? Gateway being your chosen gateway city of course

Yes I did figure that out here in my dedicated Lin thread. Not necessary in Zoiper but it must be there in Linphone. I got it to work after reading more about the Lin app.

The more I use Lin though, the more problems I find:
-It only allows 3 contacts as far as I can see. I would hate to have to type out number and voip server every time I make a call.
                -Incoming does not ring
-VoIP configuration in setup cannot be saved or modified. You have to start from scratch if you want to change anything. Not a huge deal but a little annoying.
-none of the usual additional settings are there (port etc)

The actual Lin softphone has a lot more features that for some reason this leaves out. But... it does call out. That is better than nothing. I think a very good softphone is important to UT since standard voice calls are not possible over LTE in the USA. VoIP seems to be the only option if one actually wants to call with the phone.
