Hello, I tried to upgrade a One Plus 6 to Ubuntu Toch using UBport.exe. unfortunately something must have gone wrong. The smartphone is now in Qualcomm Crash Dump Mode. Do I still have options in this mode to make it accessible to UBport? In my opinion, there is no longer an operating system or something similar on the smartphone, only the crash dump mode without options

I hope you can help me here

@user100 can you switch the device off? Can you boot into the bootloader (volume down and power button)?

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.... And more...
          I have too many devices...

I've now played a bit with the key combinations and I'm back in fastboot mode. Yay. "cmd adb fastboot devices" shows me the device.

what can I do now ? Unfortunately, UBPorts does not recognize the device and I can press everything in fastboot mode, it always starts in fastboot mode

@user100 charge it up first then in fastboot try the installer again? You can select the phone from the list yourself.

UBports.exe does not recognize the smartphone in fastboot mode

                then i have the error
                ``C:\adb>fastboot boot TWRP-3.6.2_11-OP6xT.img
                downloading 'boot.img'...
                OKAY [ 0.817s]
                booting...
FAILED (remote: Failed to load/authenticate boot image: Load Error)
                finished. total time: 0.835s

                C:\adb>
                I entered
                fastboot flash boot_a twrp.img
using cmd and restarted the smartphone.
                twrp was running.
I then loaded the last official One Plus 6 Android from the One Plus website and copied it from the pc to the smartphone using the file manager.
Then I installed the .zip file via twrp and I'm back to where I started.
i have android 11 and want ubuntu touch.
is it possible to get Ubuntu Touch as a .zip file? I didn't find anything at first only UBports Installer.

@user100 No there are no zips. You need to check the version of Android you need. 11 might be OK for 20.04 but for 16.04 not sure. You will need to check the info on the https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io page or the installer you could also ask here https://t.me/WelcomePlus the install group. This may also help https://forums.ubports.com/topic/8282/unable-to-install-on-oneplus-6/1

Unfortunately, I'm not really up to date with these mobile phone things.
I have now tried to get the Android 9 required by the UBpots installer on the phone, with what felt like 100 instructions. but nothing worked. I see my only option now is to leave the phone lying around until UBports supports the installation with Android 11.

                    Thanks for your time

@user100 Download the downgrade to Android 9 :

                      OnePlus6Oxygen_22_OTA_054_all_1908302047_fulldowngrade_f019784c78234a67.zip

                      From here

It is in the Rollback builds and called OB25.

Instructions on how to rollback , here, just use the above zip file.

If the roll back doesn't work and the crash dump screen is persistent, you will need the msm download tool to restore it. It works and restores to stock. It is a oneplus too I think. Good luck

@User100 Hey I realize this is old, but if you have not gotten it out of Qaulcomm Crash Dump mode yet the way to do it is getting the MSM tool. You can get the tool with Android 9.0 so that you can boot right into it. Here is the link to the MSM tool. Follow the guide you will find in there it works like a charm. I got the crash dump error twice trying to get it to 9.0.
If your phone is as finicky as mine when you start the process it will give you the sahara error... This is where you have to not listen to the instructions. Keep the phone plugged in and reboot with power + volume up, Then restart the phone with power volume up and you will see that the MSM tool will start the download again once it boots. You can let got of the buttons then and let it do its thing. If you have any questions feel free to reach out and I'll do what I can to help.

Side note.... Rollback option does not work with T-Mobile OnePlus phones.
