Devel 31/01 Do not update
-
@lakotaubp My Volla is also affected, so probably yes, all devices
-
@kristatos and you will need the installer to swop channels
-
@lakotaubp Yes, I'll have to wait for the next update/fix and update the phone with the installer. That's why it's called devel channel
-
@kristatos The dragons return Don't forget RC is working fine and if you have that running you will be able to update from System Settings as you would expect back to devel when the dragons have flown away.
-
@lakotaubp It's too late , the problem I use p3a, and if I go back to rc, you known that the sound problem on p3a, it is fixed by updating, and frankly, I do not want back to 16:04
Let us know if it is fixed -
lol i literally just updated like 8 hrs ago but all seems well xaiomi redmi note 9 on dev channel
-
@developerbayman Please do not update again just in case or if you do check and get another uodate arrive do not install it have not heard of a fix yet.
-
@kimo What update are you on. Some reports of 3a still getting texts and incoming calls. Can you check.
-
-
I have network up, can I update from the command line? It is odd because I used rfkill to unblock wifi but the setting updater thinks wifi is off even though I am sshed into the phone and can use the web browser on the phone.
-
@cwmartin It will do. WiFi works but not through System Settings. Just checking on what the exact
system-image-cli
Should be for RC
-
@lakotaubp Tried is and it fails - tells me to check the log file but don't know where it is. Don't see anything in /var/logs. Probably not using it correctly - still looking.
-
@cwmartin You need more than that it's :
sudo system-image-cli --switch <channel-name>
the list of channels can be seen with
sudo system-image-cli --list-channels
Thanks to Tobiyo Kuujikai for the info
You will want the 20.04 RC channel
-
Here is the channel list with two different RC channels:
20.04/arm64/android9plus/devel
20.04/arm64/android9plus/rc
20.04/arm64/hybris/devel
20.04/arm64/hybris/rcWhich rc?
-
@cwmartin 20.04/arm64/android9plus/rc but just checking and you will probably need to be adb shelled or ssh in anyway terminal might not work on it's own.
-
@lakotaubp ok
-
@cwmartin Might be easier to just use the installer.
-
@lakotaubp Nope - it worked, I am back to RC. Used this command:
sudo system-image-cli -v -p 0 --progress dots --switch 20.04/arm64/android9plus/rc
Worked like a charm! Thanks!
-
@lakotaubp Is it safe to go back in the water?
-
@cwmartin I wait like you rc worrying for me
-
@cwmartin No not yet. Just tried 107 dev update on FP4 and still the same.
