I can send and receive SMS but not MMS

Better would be to show APN for the sim that has trouble.
I can say to you that i used to be under free on my MX4 some time ago, and all worked fine, sms, mms, data, calls.

Did you try to put sim in sim slot 2 ?

@fredo333 Your English is good, far better than my French. Are you saying that the second SIM was in the phone but it had no contract? Are you also saying that removing the card resolved your problem?

On my MX4, i use SIM automatically created APN, when first inserted in phone.

Try to put you sim out of phone, then delete all APN entries you find in settings, and then shut device down, put sim back, and then boot device.

PS : as you're not confident with english, you could try to use deepl translator, it works quite well, and is not googled
