Calendars not showing in the Calendar app after upgrade to focal
-
@mihael is that calendar disabled in the calendar app, per chance?
-
@arubislander I have several calendars that are enabled and one that is disabled. None of them shows in the app.
-
@mihael just grasping at straws here. But have you already tried disabling one of the calendars, quitting the app, then restarting the app and enabling the calendar?
-
@arubislander Yes, I tried that, no change. I cannot disable all calendars as it says that I still need at least one active. And thank you for any idea / input!
-
@mihael any logs from the calendar app?
-
@arubislander I cannot find any logs for calendar app in Logviewer.
-
Maybe a more suitable title for this would be "Calendars not showing in the Calendar app after upgrade to focal" - but I don't know how to change it...
-
@mihael
You can change title by editing your first post in this thread. -
@Keneda Title changed. Thank you!

@mihael
You're welcome -
This is how I solved the problem: the problem was an old calendar that was creating problems - the moment I deleted it, the calendar app started working perfect.
This is what I did:
- I noticed that in the calendar app, in the Settings, not all calendars were showing in the drop-down list for selecting the default calendar
- I decided to delete all calendars and import them again (after a backup, of course)
syncevolution --print-databases
- from the result you can see in parenthesis the name of file and folder for each calendar- I started with the calendar that I was not using anymore and I deleted the corresponding file from ~/.config/evolution/sources and the folder from ~/.local/share/evolution/calendar
- the calendar app started again to display all other calendars
