@UBportsNews
Hi everyone!
I just wanted to ask if you could take few seconds to spread that with the UT transition from xenial to focal, the system has now become usable on RPi4 and ask all owners of an RPi (3 or 4) to help us in test/bugreport/bugfix the system and applications so to help improve the user experience on these fantastic and widespread (developer) boards. there is a telegram group where we can help each other.Thank you very much for all your effort in the ubports project and UT so and software

@Aury88 You could also create a thread under https://forums.ubports.com/category/114/20-04-focal-fossa on the Forum for comments and advice.
Will then add link to new News post ; ) also can you check details of the link in above post. Thanks

@UBportsNews App lock and hide would be nice. Also be able to unlock Terminal, File Manager, etc with fingerprint

Would you agree the app developer community has lost momentum over the last few years, and now that 22.04 is released perhaps a campaign is needed to attract more interest from the open source and free software community. We are barely providing basics like email and social media, and we need a thriving app developer community to keep Ubuntu Touch alive.
-
@treebeard A good question might be: are there other linux communities (smartphones) that attract more high level developers and IF, so what are they doing different for that ?
-
@StephPTi This is not a call for feature requests, but for questions about the project and the community.
-
@arubislander ok understood. Sorry for it.
So, in that case, how can we convince more dev to come to this project and helpnit grow in a faster and reliable way? It's not really a question but a discussion topic.

I agree, and maybe we should have that discussion right here on the forum. I suggest you start a topic for that.

@Lakotaubp Hi
there was already a thread on the subject that cost me energy to make, but it was closed and at the moment I don't have time to open another one. for now I'm interested in the telegram channel (where no one expressed interest in (re)opening a thread on the forum) . based on how it goes maybe I'll decide if it's worth doing the job again or maybe someone else will do it.
thank you. -
@Aury88 Are you referring to https://forums.ubports.com/post/75043?

Hello, I want to know if there is any integration planned with nextcloud accounts, not only calendar but also contacts as I think it is a good feature to have and I have been waiting for some time.
Thx for answers -

Could you please give some general overview on Ubuntu Touch? Like:
- how is the manpower in the dev team and other teams.
- how is integration of 20.04 going, what was expected/unexpected, what did you learn during process
- you mentioned that with 20.04 you changed something so future updated are more simple. Will you go for 24.xx?
i am asking because with the loong time nothing heared in Q&A and (i feel) slow process in 20.04 (my oneplus 6 is nearly unusable) i felt like UT is kind of dead?

Can you give some explanation on why Notification LED is not supported on many devices? LED support - in general - doesnt seem to be very complex to me.
In combination with Notch covering the message indicator, i have no clue on notch devices if i got new messages
