I have a question to you guys. I donΒ΄t have a problem running waydroid. its fast, got good browsers and my vpn. Ubuntu does not. But instead a nice open source OS. So here I am wondering. What is worse for your privacy and security. Running waydroid. Or clean Ubuntu. I really want to run clean ubuntu and waydroid when I need to. But these click apps doesnt cut it instead. The browsers are very simple with no trackblockers.
Best regards

@Rinkeby with Waydroid runs Android Apps not clicks. Tor Browser is good.
-
Yeah? I cant find it in appstore. Onion I can find. and it doesnt have modern blockers it says.
-
@Rinkeby Ubuntu or Ubuntu touch to clarify?
Running a VPN with any browser is good. However if they want to track you they will

οΈ -
Ubuntu Touch of course. And I am not too worried about being tracked by the guys who need to. But rather facebook, google and so forth. The reason for UT in the first place.
But unfortunately I can not get my VPN to run in UT, but in waydroid with nice browsers. But dont know how secure waydroid is compared to UT without it. I guess its marginal.

@Rinkeby I use a VPN on Xenial with the very helpful VPN editor. I haven't tried it on Focal yet which last time I looked didn't have the VPN editor.
-
Yeah, I tried so bad both on xenial and focal. and focal is in focus, because thats the one I am going to run for real. Once its functional.
I guess I have to wait.

@Rinkeby Orion is a Webbrowser for Xenial. VPN KP.With Waydroid a Emulator works Tor not for Clicks.
-
A VPN will always be more secure under Firefox in Waydroid given that morph-browser has DNS and webrtc leaks (no Firefox).
-
Thanks man. Good to know. I was worried about that.
-
@Rinkeby Just faffed about trying to get a VPN running on Focal. No dice, it is late, so it will be something for another day!
-
@MrT10001 on Focal it is possible to load
.ovpnfiles via thenmclicommandline tool. -
