      I tried to flash Droidian onto my VP22.

      I used the .deb package of the UBPorts Installer (v. 0.10.0) on my Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.

      I did everything proposed and started the installation.
      It got stuck with:

      Error: fastboot:flash: Error: Flashing failed: {"error":{"code":1},"stderr":"fastboot: error: cannot load '/home/<user>/.cache/ubports/mimameid/firmware/unpacked_droidian/data/dtbo.img': No such file or directory"}

      Now I can't even turn on the phone. Neither with power button alone nor with power + vol up/down.
      Is it a 450€ brick now? Or is there a way to rescue it?

        The support team of Volla helped me to revive the phone.
        A BIG thank you to them.

        However the UBPorts installer shouldn't be able to flash phones when it's not ready yet.
        And it should check if it has all files before data is written incompletely which bricks expensive phones!

          @jojumaxx Which files were missing or were downloaded only partially?

          VollaPhone22 (dual-boot of VollaOS and UT 20.04 OTA-5), Pocophone F1 (pmOS, edge)

            @sven The error message I pasted above tells about a missing image.
            And at this time, as I learned, the installer was only partially flashing critical firmware partitions so if you came from android 12+ it would leave you with a brick...
            This is fixed now, the Installer does a correct flash now.
