Little help with my Lenovo Tab M10 X605F
-
@capitanemo The last release caused this (r20). Try booting in Recovery, bwait a couple of minutes then reboot. Be patient it will take about five minutes to boot in. Then you will be on 20.04.
-
@MrT10001 Thanks, been about 10 mins on the boot logo on this attempt, keep leaving it like this and wait longer?
-
Been nearly a hour, try rebooting?
-
@capitanemo No, it should have booted in by now.
Check this thread out.
It will boot. You have to be patient and persistent.

@capitanemo please try to flash this boot image with fast boot:
https://gitlab.com/ubports/porting/community-ports/android9/lenovo-tab-m10-fhd/lenovo-x605/-/jobs/6057055401/artifacts/file/out/boot.imgAnd if it still doesn't boot, reinstall focal with the installer without wipe and without bootstrap.
I find that booting process with the new bootimage is more stable than before.
Sadly I could not integrate it in the installer yet. -
@MrT10001 Thanks for all your help. I had tried most of that before asking on here and now im well past the vodka stage!! it going back into the cupboard
-
@Luksus Thanks, how do i flash this manually with this image ?
-
So flashed the boot.img using fastboot (not sure if that was correct) and..nothing, then factory reset and reboot and its on.. big thanks for both your help. does this mean i should never reset it?
p.s my fingers are killing me -
-
@capitanemo Where you download the image on GitLab there will be a readme telling you the fastboot commands. Put the unzipped image into the folder containing the fastboot executable and open a command prompt in that folder.

Not really. But it seems that it still can happen, that it doesn't boot from time to time.
Reinistalling the system, using the installer (without wipe and without bootstrap) did help in my case.
