I will hopefully get my Gemini PDA in December.
If you don't know about it, please read this:

As I have understood it the hole platform is open source.

So it should be easy to port Ubuntu Touch to it.
(I once tried to port Ubuntu Touch to Motorola Droid 4, so I have a good idea how to do it.)

Are the phablet tools still available?

I had a Ubuntu phone (Meizu MX 4, it ran libertine).

Are there any ported Qt or Gtk apps for the device?

Is it possible to dualboot Ubuntu Touch on a GSI device?

In other words, would it deliver a good experience once I built a GSI image for it?

Still wondering about X11 and Android apps (without X11 apps it would be a deal breaker, Android apps I can live without, can run them on my phone).

GSI is a good way forward though, it might make it possible to port devices fast and easy.

I forgot to write that I was thinking of the GSI image.

I guess that features of the AOSP for the device might give a hint what's working.

Can one expect the same features to work with Ubports as the AOSP?

I wounder if the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 would be a good device for Ubports.

Basically I wonder what kind of experience I could expect.

Will the hardware work?

If I bought the Bookcover keyboard, would that work?

Would I be able to run X11 applications? (If would there be any Hardware graphics acceleration?)

Almost ironic, but still, would it be possible to run Android apps?

Are you sure that the Gemini PDA is installable through the ubports-installer?
It is not listed on the webpage.

Do anbox work with bluetooth apps? (I have a smartwatch which I wish to have running.)

I know @TheKit got UT running on the Gemini PDA. The big question there is, is it ready for daily use?

I really hope that the Gemini PDA will be officially supported.

I which to use UT as main OS on my device, but a few things hold me back right now.

Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of my statements. (I have yet to watch the latest Q&A.)

1. 16.04 is not ready yet.
2. anbox is not ready yet.
3. it's not installable through the official installer. (will it be?)

But I keep my hopes up that those issues will be resolved in the near future.

How ever, as a former UT user I'm very exited! (Used a Meizu MX4.)

Is it possible to patch the kernel to be able to run libertine on Gemini yet?

I thought of a useful thing, if I would be able to use a part of the right hand side of the display as track pad (control a mouse cursor), this would make it easier to use desktop applications in libertine.
