even if the dev channels of Ubuntu Touch are comparatively stable, regular users should never use developer versions in my opinion, because it can always happen that something breaks.

RE: Ubuntu Touch Q&A 126 call for questions
I'm giving a presentation at my school about digital privacy and I'm planning to include Ubuntu Touch as a more privacy-friendly alternative to Android and iOS.
It would be interesting to know if and what data a typical Ubuntu Touch device transmits to third parties.

RE: Whats your solution for WhatsApp?
Waydroid + APK is so far the best option to use WhatsApp on Ubuntu Touch.
If you don't like downloading and installing updates manually, you can install Whatsapp via an appstore like Aptoide for example.

KDE's Angelfish has a very good adblocker.
Many users of the Morph browser have wanted such an adblocker for a long time.
Since Angelfish and Morph are both based on Qt5 - Couldn't we just copy Angelfish's Adblocker to Morph?

RE: OTA-2 for 20.04 Call for Testing Companion Post
I've been on rc for a few days.
I must say that so far everything is very stable and I haven't noticed any problems.I reported a bug in my previous post, but it isn't related to OTA-2 and was initially reported 4 years ago.

RE: Lomiri: new light theme?
Thank you @Luksus
The shadows of the icons could be a bit bigger, so that the bright icons can stand out better against the white background.
Otherwise, this looks really great and I could imagine using it on my phone.

Lomiri: new light theme?
Is there a new shell theme for Lomiri?
The screenshots for PocketVM show Lomiri with a light theme.

RE: I want to buy Pixel 3a xl
@codenul said in I want to buy Pixel 3a xl:
Avoid Verizon branded Pixel's at all cost.
Their support doesn't help because they think that only their software should be installed on the device and even developers should avoid custom roms because the risks for customers bricking their devices is simply too high.
Even if the device is carrier unlocked, the bootloader remains locked!

I am a big fan of the new design in 20.04.
The transparency effects make Ubuntu Touch look much more modern without sacrificing much performance. -

RE: Qemu-kvm or QEMU on ubuntu touch?
most ubports devices have dated hardware and most of the potential guest systems aren't mobile optimised.
so even if that works, i think you haven't a good experience.
